| About Westfield W-League |
|
| The W-League (presently known as the Westfield W-League) is the top level women's football (soccer) league in Australia. Established in 2008, it is composed of eight teams - seven of them affiliated with one of the seven Australian clubs currently in the A-League, and the other based in Canberra.[1]
Its inaugural season (2008-09) started in October 2008. |

| Sydney has claimed its first W League title after stunning Brisbane with three second half goals to secure a 3-2 grand final win at Toyota Stadium.
